PRIMARY CORPORATE MARQUE At the core of the Blue Nun brand message is the authorised corporate marque. The marque is the key identifier of all Blue Nun items, activities and products. The marque consists of a primary version – with the Nun - and a secondary version without the Nun. THIS PRIMARY CORPORATE MARQUE MUST BE USED AT ALL TIMES UNLESS STATED ON THE FOLLOWING PAGE. SUMMARY USE THE PRIMARY CORPORATE MARQUE WHEREVER POSSIBLE. ALWAYS USE THE ARTWORK SUPPLIED OR INCLUDED ON THIS SITE. SECONDARY CORPORATE MARQUE In certain, predefined circumstances, this secondary corporate marque is permitted. USE THIS VERSION ONLY IN THE FOLLOWING CIRCUMSTANCES. 1 Below 20mm width, the secondary Blue Nun corporate marque should be used instead of the primary version. 2 The secondary version s also used in situations where space restrictions do not allow use of the primary version. 3 Use the secondary version where inferior reproduction methods will not allow an accurate representation of the Blue Nun illustration of the primary version. SUMMARY THE SECONDARY CORPORATE MARQUE IS ONLY TO BE USED UNDER SPECIAL CONDITIONS (SEE ABOVE). ALWAYS USE THE ARTWORK SUPPLIED OR INCLUDED ON THIS SITE. SAFE AREAS To maintain the clarity and presence of the corporate marque, it must always be protected by an area of clear, unprinted space. This ‘safe area’ must always be observed and must not be encroached upon by any other items such as text or graphics. Te safe area is defined by half of the height of the Blue Nun rectangle (X). DO NOT USE ANY OTHER MEASUREMENT TO ESTABLISH THE SAFE AREA. SUMMARY THERE MUST BE A SAFE AREA AROUND THE COROPORATE MARQUES AT ALL TIMES. THE AREA IS DEFINED BY A SPECIFIC MEASUREMENT. CORPORATE MARQUES – MINIMUM SIZES The corporate marque has a minimum size restriction. This is required to ensure the marque retains legibility and authority. Te minimum sizes are specified as a width measurement of the whole marque. DO NOT REPRODUCE THE CORPORATE MARQUES BELOW THE SPECIFIED MINIMUM SIZES. SUMMARY THE CORPORATE MARQUE HAS A MIMIMUM SIZE RESTRICTION. THIS APPLIES TO BOTH VERSIONS AND ALL COLOUR FORMATS. PRIMARY CORPORATE MARQUE – CORPORATE COLOURS Five colours (four colour process plus metallic gold) is the preferred colour format for the majority of print applications. Where budgets, timescales and facilities restrict the use of the five colour version, a special four colour version has been created. With this version, the metallic gold is replaced with a four colour process ‘gold’, all other elements remain identical to the preferred five colour version. The mono version prints black with tints (percentages) of black used for the Blue Nun illustration, drop shadow and keyline. DO NOT USE ANY OTHER COLOUR FORMAT. SUMMARY DO NOT ALTER THE CORPORATE MARQUE IN ANY WAY. ALWAYS USE THE ARTWORK SUPPLIED OR INCLUDED ON THIS SITE. SECONDARY CORPORATE MARQUE – CORPORATE COLOURS Five colours (four colour process plus metallic gold) is the preferred colour format for the majority of print applications. The solid single-colour version is used for the specific purpose of printing onto unusual substances with inferior printing methods. Eg, screen printed merchandise. DO NOT USE ANY OTHER COLOUR FORMAT. SUMMARY DO NOT ALTER THE CORPORATE MARQUE IN ANY WAY. ALWAYS USE THE ARTWORK SUPPLIED OR INCLUDED ON THIS SITE. CORPORATE TYPEFACES To ensure consistency of the corporate style across all typographical applications, a special family of typefaces has been selected for all Blue Nun branding. Te main typeface family if FOREVER, which is modern with a distinctive character. This is the typeface to be used for text applications. The secondary typeface is TREE FROG, which is a friendly-looking loose script used for the Blue Nun tagline and, where preferred, headlines. Always se this typeface in upper and lower case and do not use for body copy. ONLY USE THESE AUTHORISED TYPEFACES SUMMARY BLUE NUN HAS A SPECIAL RANGE OF TYPEFACES. THESE ARE TWO FONTS, EACH WITH A SPECFIC PURPOSE.
